GREETINGS!

My name is Margaret van Gurp and I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, where the beauty of the land and seascape makes me go out and paint whenever the weather is good. If that is not the case I paint portraits or still lifes indoors in watercolor or oil paints. Sometimes I sculpt in clay; mostly figures and busts of people that are fired in a kiln and painted bronze patina. For Parks Canada I sculpt character heads for historic displays which can be found in three different Canadian provinces. My ink drawings have appeared in one of Canada's national newspapers The Globe and Mail. I started creating works in 1938 and have not stopped since then!
